My upcoming solo show at the wonderful music listening space at Art Noise gallery (Tri-Art paints) in Kingston Ontario is titled Restoring Balance: Before and Between. This piece was created for the “Inspired” event honouring Henry Vyfvinkel, taking place May 31, 2014 at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery in Brockville (https://www.stlawrencecollege.ca/campuses-and-services/campus-services/marianne-van-silfhout-gallery/inspired-fundraising-event/). I have donated it to the gallery for the event. All premium ticket holders will take home a work of art, included in the price of admission.

Flight was created in response to a call for art inspired by the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve in southeastern Ontario, Canada. For this piece as well as others in the “Origins” series, I obtained granite, sandstone, and limestone — sawn on one side — from a quarry near Seeley’s Bay; I took the photographs of rock, water, and sky along the Thousand Islands Parkway between Brockville and Lansdowne.
